Meet Angelika Menendez

Angelika Menendez is a Latinx artist who loves to sing, act and dance. She was born and raised in Miami, FL and grew up in a bilingual household where she learned to speak English and Spanish. At the age of 7, Angelika participated in her first musical, Seussical and told her parents performing was her future. Little did they know, that eleven years later she would be going to college to pursue a career in the performing arts professionally.

She graduated with her BFA in Theatre and Performance from Emerson College. After graduation, Angelika began working at different regional theatres and is planning to move to NYC. Angelika most recently performed at The REV Theatre Company and with Teatro Chelsea in Boston, MA. Angelika was also a part of the American Theatre Wing's SpringboardNYC musical theatre class and got to train with some of the top people in the industry. Angelika loves to work on bilingual theatre and even got the opportunity to perform in Madrid, Spain where she took part in a Spanish adaptation of Finding Neverland. Angelika is a part of the Equity Membership Candidate.

When she's not performing Angelika is passionate about her work in diversity & inclusion and community engagement. She started Cabaret of Color at Emerson College to create an opportunity for BIPOC artists to be heard and share their voices. The show is yearly and partners with the Performing Arts Fund to raise money for low-income students to attend Emerson for the performing arts. She is also the managing director for Teatro Chelsea, a new theatre in Boston, MA that is giving space for new Latinx works and voices.

Angelika looks forward to getting back to work with everyone in person once COVID-19 passes! Until then, pa'lante friends!
